Vehicle Laws - Excise Tax - Determination of Fair Market Value and
Collection of Tax
Altering the definition of "fair market value" as it relates to the
vehicle excise tax in the case of specified used vehicle sales;
establishing a minimum excise tax of $32 under specified
circumstances; requiring an applicant for a certificate of title or
registration to submit a notarized bill of sale that meets specified
requirements; expanding the circumstances under which a licensed
dealer may keep the lesser of $24 per vehicle or 1.2% of the excise
tax collected by the dealer; etc.
