Practice of Medicine - Definition

Synopsis:

Including within the definition of "practice medicine" the making of a certain proposed determination that a health care service is not medically necessary or appropriate for a patient; specifying an exception for a determination made solely for an educational purpose; requiring the Maryland Insurance Administration, with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, to conduct a study on the potential impact of the Act on insurance premiums and access to insurance and to review certain practices of other states; etc.
