Maryland Health Care Foundation - Health Insurance Demonstration Project for Uninsured, Low-Income, Working Employees

Synopsis:

Authorizing the Maryland Health Care Foundation to contract with an entity to make available, through a demonstration project, health insurance through employers for uninsured, low-income, working employees; providing for the qualifications of individuals eligible to be covered and their employers; specifying the benefits to be provided under the Act; requiring the demonstration project to include a voluntary hospital component to assure the provision of acute care services to the enrollees; limiting the number of enrollees; etc.
