Smart Growth - Arts and Entertainment Districts

Synopsis:

Authorizing the Secretary of the Department of Business and Economic Development to designate one or more arts and entertainment districts within which property, income, and other tax benefits would apply; establishing an application process for a county or local government to apply to the Secretary to designate an area as an arts and entertainment district; requiring the Secretary to adopt regulations that specify application procedures and criteria for designation of the districts; etc.
