State Board of Physician Quality Assurance - Examination Requirements - Exception

Synopsis:

Requiring the Board of Physician Quality Assurance to adopt regulations that provide that a limited exception to the time period within which an applicant for licensure is required to pass the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination may be granted to an applicant whose medical education was delayed due to serious illness and who complies with specified requirements; requiring the regulations to take effect by October 1, 2002; providing for the retroactive application of the Act; etc.
