Synopsis:

Requiring the Board of Physician Quality Assurance to adopt regulations that provide for an exception from the time period within which an applicant for licensure is required to pass the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination when an applicant's medical education is delayed due to serious illness; requiring the regulations to take effect by October 1, 2002; providing for the retroactive application of the Act; etc.
