Maryland Family and Medical Leave Act

Synopsis:

Establishing the Maryland Family and Medical Leave Act; providing specified employees a total of 12 workweeks of family leave in a 12-month period under specified circumstances; providing that the family leave granted by an employer may be unpaid leave; providing that specified paid leave may be substituted for any part of the 12 workweeks of leave under specified circumstances; authorizing an employer to require an eligible employee to provide written notice of the eligible employee's intention to take family leave; etc.
