Synopsis:

Requiring a person who sells rental assistance services to register with the Division of Consumer Protection of the Office of the Attorney General; requiring a seller of rental assistance services to purchase a surety bond or to file an irrevocable letter of credit or cash with the Division; authorizing a tenant to file a claim with specified persons if the tenant suffers or sustains any loss or damage by reason of the cessation of operations by or bankruptcy of a seller of rental assistance services; etc.
