Junk Dealers and Scrap Metal Processors - Copper Scrap Metal - Required Records

Synopsis:

Requiring junk dealers and scrap metal processors to keep records of purchases of copper scrap metal; requiring junk dealers and scrap metal processors who are residents of the State to keep the records for 3 years; providing that the records shall be open to inspection by law enforcement personnel; requiring nonresident junk dealers and scrap metal processors to submit the records to the sheriff of the county where the copper scrap metal was purchased before leaving the State; establishing specified penalties; etc.
