Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation - Adult Education and Literacy Services - Transfer to Maryland State Department of Education

Synopsis:

Transferring adult education and literacy services functions administered by the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation to the State Department of Education; designating the State Board of Education the sole agency in the State responsible for administering and supervising policy and funding for adult education and literacy; requiring the State Department of Education to be responsible for the development of a specified State plan and submission of the plan to the federal Department of Education; etc.
