Synopsis:Requiring a specified law enforcement agency to submit a sexual assault evidence collection kit to a forensic laboratory for analysis within 30 days of receipt, to notify the victim when the kit was sent and of the results of the analysis, to utilize community-based sexual assault victim service organizations, and ensure privacy protections; requiring a specified forensic laboratory to take specified actions within 150 days; requiring the development of specified policies and procedures; applying the Act retroactively; etc.
