Sentencing - Abolishment of Parole for Violent and Repeat
Offenders
Providing that an inmate serving a term of imprisonment for a violent
crime may not be granted parole if the inmate has been previously
convicted of a violent crime; and establishing that a provision
prohibiting the parole of a repeat violent offender does not restrict
the authority of the Governor to pardon or remit part of a sentence.
