Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 503 - Harford County - Havre de Grace Maritime Museum Loan of 2001.

This bill authorizes the matching fund provided by the Board of Directors of Havre de Grace Maritime Museum, Incorporated, as grantee, to include funds expended prior to June 1, 2001.

House Bill 737, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 503.
