EmPOWER Maryland Energy Efficiency Act of 2008

Synopsis:

Establishing the State goal of achieving a 15% reduction in per capita electricity consumption and peak demand by the end of 2015; requiring the Public Service Commission to calculate per capita electricity consumption and peak demand each year and report the calculations to the General Assembly as part of its annual report; requiring specified municipal electric utilities and specified rural electric cooperatives to include energy efficiency and conservation measures as part of their service; etc.
