State Highway Administration - Highway Work Permits - Bonds and Sureties

Synopsis:

Requiring the State Highway Administration to require applicants for improvement permits to obtain a performance or payment bond, letter of credit, or other surety when (1) the amount of the improvement is estimated to exceed $100,000, (2) the project is financed, in whole or in part, by private funds, and (3) no part of the improvement is located within the applicant's property road frontage; requiring a person to obtain a permit from the Administration before placing an improvement on a State highway; etc.
