Income Tax - Subtraction Modification for Volunteer Police Officers

Synopsis:

Providing a subtraction modification of $3,000 from the Maryland income tax for qualifying volunteer police officers; providing criteria for qualification for the subtraction modification; requiring police agencies to maintain specified records and provide specified reports relating to volunteer services; requiring each police agency to submit a specified annual report to the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and to the Comptroller's Office; providing for a specified penalty; etc.
