Secondhand Precious Metal Object Dealers and Pawnbrokers - License and Background Check

Synopsis:

Requiring applicants for a license to act as a secondhand precious metal object dealer or pawnbroker or an employee of an applicant or licensee to apply for a national and State criminal history records check and to pay the associated fees; requiring specified preconditions to be satisfied before an individual may begin work for a dealer as an employee; amending the fees for an original and renewal license; ensuring that criminal history information obtained and disseminated is subject to specified provisions of law; etc.
