Sexually Violent Predator Act of 1998

Synopsis:

Creating a procedure in which a person who has been convicted of or charged with a specified violent offense and who suffers from a certain mental abnormality or personality disorder may be placed in the custody of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene until the person is safe to be at large.
