Synopsis:

Repealing provisions that authorize the Division of Correction to establish a work-release program; requiring the Commissioner of Correction to create an inmate work program; providing specified uses for inmate earnings; repealing provisions relating to inmate health care fees; requiring the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional Services to seek reimbursement from inmates for specified costs of confinement; authorizing the Department to bring a civil action under specified circumstances; etc.
