Genetic Discrimination - Workers' Compensation Coverage and Benefits

Synopsis:

Prohibiting an insurer or employer from refusing to provide compensation to a covered employee or from reducing a covered employee's compensation award because of the employee's genetic information; prohibiting a workers' compensation insurer from canceling a policy or refusing to issue a policy or provide coverage because of an employee's genetic information or genetic test; and defining "genetic information" and "genetic test".
