Synopsis:

Requiring viatical settlement providers and viatical settlement brokers to register with the Insurance Commissioner; establishing registration requirements; applying the Act to a viatical settlement contract between a viator and a viatical settlement provider; authorizing the Insurance Commissioner to deny a registration to an applicant or refuse to renew, suspend, or revoke a registration; requiring the Maryland Insurance Administration to report to the General Assembly; etc.
