Synopsis:

Establishing the Maryland Alternative Teaching Opportunity Program in the State Department of Education; authorizing the Department to select specified school districts and up to 150 teaching candidates to participate in the Program; requiring the Department to share in the cost of providing a specified stipend to teaching candidates participating in a preresidency internship program; etc.
