Criminal Procedure - Misdemeanors and Local Ordinance Violations - Citations and Study

Synopsis:

Requiring a police officer to charge a person by citation for specified misdemeanors and local ordinance violations; expanding the authority of a police officer to charge a person by citation to include specified misdemeanors and local ordinance violations; establishing that a police officer may charge a defendant by citation only under specified circumstances; providing that, under specified circumstances, an officer who has grounds to make a warrantless arrest may take a specified action; etc.
