Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to establish and administer a Lead Poisoning Screening Program to assure appropriate screening of children for lead poisoning; addressing criteria, screening methods, and payment mechanisms for the program; requiring the Department of the Environment to assist local governments to provide case management for children with elevated blood lead levels; requiring screening of individuals residing in specified areas; requiring parents or guardians to provide documentation; etc.
