Licensed Physical Therapists and Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants - Scope of Practice - Topical Pharmaceutical Agents

Synopsis:

Authorizing licensed physical therapists and licensed physical therapist assistants to apply to the skin of a patient specified topical pharmaceutical agents in accordance with standards specified in the Act; providing that the Act may not be construed to authorize physical therapy licensees to prescribe or to dispense topical pharmaceutical agents; requiring the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, in consultation with the State Board of Pharmacy, to adopt specified regulations; etc.
