Retirement and Pensions - State Employee Positions Eliminated by Act
of General Assembly - Early Retirement Option
Allowing a State employee who is a member of the Employees' Retirement
System, the Employees' Pension System, the Teachers' Retirement
System, or the Teachers' Pension System to retire if the member has at
least 20 years of eligibility service and the member is separated from
employment as a result of the elimination of the member's position by
an Act of the General Assembly; providing for a reduction in the
retirement allowance; and making the Act an emergency measure.
