Synopsis:

Requiring health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations to provide inpatient hospitalization coverage for a mother and newborn child for a specified minimum length of time; providing a specified exception; prohibiting a health insurer, nonprofit health service plan, private review agent, and health maintenance organization from impairing the participation of physicians in providing health care services under specified circumstances; etc.
