Pensions - Transfer of Service Credit

Synopsis:

Authorizing a State employee member of a State retirement or pension system to transfer service credit from a local retirement or pension system if the employee was employed by the State within 60 days after termination of the prior local employment, was not employed by another employer in the interim, waives entitlement to the former benefits, and submits a written request by December 31, 1996; and providing for the retroactive application of the Act to any individual who became a State employee from January 1, 1990 through June 30, 1996.
