Recreational Vessels - Engine Emissions Standards

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person, after October 1, 2007, from operating on Maryland waters a recreational vessel that is powered by a gasoline-fueled, outboard marine engine unless the engine has been certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as meeting specified emissions standards and is properly labeled in accordance with federal regulations; establishing a fine of up to $500 for a violation; authorizing the Department of Natural Resources to adopt regulations as necessary to implement the Act; etc.
