Juvenile Causes - Truancy Reduction Pilot Program - Contempt of Court

Synopsis:

Authorizing a court to initiate contempt proceedings in a truancy case under specified circumstances; authorizing a court to order a child who is found in contempt for failing to comply with a court order to be detained under the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Services for a period of time not to exceed 4 days; and requiring a court to conduct a review of detention hearing on the next court day after the detention period is completed.
