Synopsis:

Revising and restating the laws concerning crimes involving physical injury and threatened physical injury; establishing the crimes of first and second degree assault; providing defenses; establishing procedures; allowing assault cases to be dismissed; providing that expert testimony is admissible but not required to prove injuries; making into felonies the attempt offenses of attempt to commit murder, rape, sexual offense, robbery, and robbery with a dangerous or deadly weapon; etc.
