Support Enforcement - Contempt

Synopsis:

Establishing that in a constructive civil contempt proceeding for failure to pay child or spousal support, the court may find the obligor in contempt based on the failure to pay support; prohibiting the court from making a finding of contempt under specified circumstances; authorizing the court to defer a sentence of incarceration with an appropriate purge condition; and requiring the imposition of a sentence of incarceration if the obligor fails to comply with the purge condition.
