Synopsis:

Authorizing a dental hygienist to practice without a dentist being on the premises; limiting a dental hygienist to treating patients only under defined circumstances; eliminating the requirement that a dental hygienist obtain a waiver from the State Board of Dental Examiners before being able to treat patients without a dentist being on the premises; requiring a dentist to maintain on record and provide to a dental hygienist an agreement allowing a dental hygienist to perform appropriate duties when the dentist is not present; etc.
