Consumer Protection - Rental of Motor Vehicles

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person from refusing to rent a motor vehicle to a consumer who meets specified requirements; allowing a person who rents a motor vehicle to a consumer under a certain age to impose a specified surcharge; requiring a person who imposes a surcharge to include a specified disclosure in specified information provided to a consumer; requiring a rental agreement to contain a specified disclosure; and providing that a violation of the Act is an unfair and deceptive trade practice under the Maryland Consumer Protection Act.
