Synopsis:

Creating a State Debt not to exceed $650,000, with a matching fund requirement, as a grant to the Board of Directors of St. James Academy for the repair, renovation, reconstruction, construction, and capital equipping of a building at 1008 West Lafayette Street for use as a comprehensive education center for children and youth; prohibiting the use of the proceeds or the matching fund for sectarian religious purposes; and requiring the grantee to grant and convey to the Maryland Historical Trust a specified easement.
