Powers of Attorney

Synopsis:

Requiring durable powers of attorney sold or prepared in the State to include specified information; requiring specified persons to report suspected attorney in fact abuse to the State's Attorney; authorizing the State's Attorney to take specified actions after completing an investigation; granting immunity to persons who make reports of attorney in fact abuse; and making it a misdemeanor subject to certain penalties to commit attorney in fact abuse.
