Medical Assistance and Children's Health Programs - Care of Newborns

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, subject to budget limitations, to develop specified newborn care programs under the Maryland Medical Assistance and Maryland Children's Health Programs; requiring the Department to ensure that providers are reimbursed for services provided to newborns; requiring each managed care organization to designate an appropriate staff member to be a newborn care coordinator; etc.
