Environment - Use of Chlorine in Wastewater Treatment Plants - Report

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of the Environment to prepare a report on the feasibility of eliminating the use of chlorine in State and local wastewater treatment plants; requiring the Department to include in the report findings and recommendations on the feasibility of eliminating this use of chlorine within 2 years; requiring the Department to submit the report to the Governor and the General Assembly by March 31, 2003; and providing for the termination of the Act.
