Synopsis:

Authorizing the county boards of education to be the public chartering authorities for public charter schools in the State; establishing an admissions policy for public charter schools; prohibiting the charging of tuition and specified fees; authorizing the State Board of Education, in consultation with the county boards, to adopt regulations relating to public charter schools; etc.
