Synopsis:

Requiring health maintenance organizations to allow for the designation by a member of a certified nurse practitioner as a primary care provider in specified circumstances; requiring that members who select a certified nurse practitioner be provided with the name and contact information of the certified nurse practitioner's collaborating physician; providing that health maintenance organizations are not required to include certified nurse practitioners on a specified provider panel; etc.
