Railroad Police Officers - Scope of Powers

Synopsis:

Authorizing a railroad police officer who is employed by a specified railroad company to exercise the powers of a peace or police officer anywhere in the State if the railroad police officer is investigating a crime that occurred on railroad property or conducting railroad-related crime prevention activity; requiring a railroad police officer to provide notice to specified persons when exercising the powers authorized by the Act; authorizing a law enforcement unit to require a specified memorandum of understanding; etc.
