Department of Health and Mental Hygiene - Medical Laboratories - Retests and Public Notification

Synopsis:

Authorizing the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to require specified laboratories to notify physicians or other individuals of specified erroneous or questionable test results and take specified measures to reduce or eliminate specified threats; and establishing a civil penalty of $1,000 per day, not to exceed $50,000, for noncompliance.
