Higher Education - Tuition Affordability Act of 2006

Synopsis:

Prohibiting in the 2006-2007 academic year an increase in the tuition that may be charged a resident undergraduate student at specified public senior higher education institutions in Maryland; limiting, in the 2006-2007 academic year, an increase in tuition to a maximum of 4.8% at St. Mary's College of Maryland; establishing a Commission to Develop the Maryland Model for Funding Higher Education; requiring the Commission to make recommendations relating to funding for the State's Historically Black Institutions; etc.
