Carroll County - Local Government Tort Claims Act - Inclusion of Specified Nonprofit Entities

Synopsis:

Altering the definition of a "local government" under the Local Government Tort Claims Act to include the Carroll Area Transit System and the Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc., when providing animal control services for Carroll County, under a memorandum of understanding with the county; and providing that a specified notice requirement does not apply to actions against specified nonprofit corporations in Carroll County or their employees.
