Synopsis:

Increasing the penalty for a second or subsequent offense of violating the restriction against possession of a regulated firearm by a person who was previously convicted of a crime of violence; requiring the State to provide a notice at least 30 days before trial if the State intends to seek a sentence of imprisonment for more than 5 years; etc.
