Synopsis

Establishing the Maryland Innovation Initiative University Partnership Extension Program to expand opportunities for technology validation, entrepreneurial development, and industry engagement at eligible universities; establishing eligibility criteria for project proposals to receive funding under the Program; requiring the Governor to include an appropriation of $500,000 in the annual budget bill for fiscal years 2027 and 2028 for the Program; and altering the purpose and contents of the Maryland Innovation Initiative Fund.
