Establishing the Workgroup to Study Adoption of a Statute for Assault in the Third Degree; requiring the Workgroup, if it recommends adoption of a third degree assault prohibition, to prepare draft legislation with the assistance of the Department of Legislative Services; and requiring the Workgroup to report its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly by December 1, 2026.
