Synopsis

Altering a certain provision of law to require that a nursing home provide immediate, rather than just timely, notification regarding a change in condition of a resident to the resident and, if applicable, the resident's representative or interested family member and consult with the resident's physician; and altering the list of conditions with respect to which a nursing home must make a certain notification to include a decision to transfer or discharge the resident from the nursing home.
