Synopsis

Establishing the Maryland Maternity Care Access Program in the Maryland Department of Health to develop and sustain pregnancy support centers in the State; establishing the Maryland Maternity Care Access Program Fund; requiring the Governor in fiscal year 2025 and each fiscal year thereafter to include $3,000,000 in the annual budget bill for the Program; requiring a report on the uses of the Fund by October 1 each year beginning in 2024; and establishing an income tax checkoff system for voluntary contributions to the Fund.
