Municipal Corporations - Annexation Process
Permitting a municipal corporation to annex property without
satisfying prior consent and referendum provisions if the property, on
or before January 1, 1996, is bounded on all sides by property that is
within the boundaries of the municipal corporation, the property does
not exceed 1.5% of the present area of the municipal corporation, and
the number of residents in the area to be annexed does not exceed 3%
of the population of the municipal corporation; and providing that
this annexation process may not be exercised after January 1, 1997.
